Starting in 1911, the Connolly family originally set up a shoe import company and in 1936 expanded their operations and began manufacturing shoes in Dundalk.

Sadly today, the factory in Dundalk is closed, but the Connolly family still use the original designs and shoe lasts to have these classic Blackthorn designs, hand crafted in Italy.
